Last night we had our monthly Youth Mass at St Julian's Parish, and the talk really hit home! I went to the youth mass with a very passive attitude, set-up the laptop and projection as a habit, and I sat down in my projection place as always with a shoulder shrugging attitude.

But man... i really did change my attitude after the talk!! Fr. Claude related a story about Mother Teresa visiting a poor man, and as she cleaned up his house she came across an unused oil lamp. Curiously she asked him, "why don't you use this lamp?" and the man answered, "Sister, no one ever comes to visit me, I'm alone day in day out, I have no reason fo using that lamp,". So Mother thought for a while and said, "If i promise you that two of my sisters will visit you everyday, will u start using this lamp?" and the deal was immediately made. Sisters visited the poor man daily, keeping him clean and healthy, and he lit the lamp daily. one day he said to them, "Sisters, there is no need for you to come any longer. I would like you to thank the first sister who ever came, because she did not only bring light back into this lamp, but she brought the light back into my heart!"
Fr. Claude's final question was... do we let Jesus shine His light through us unto others?
"It is not fitting, when one is in God's service, to have a gloomy face or a chilling look"
_ St Francis of Assisi
We should all be live wires in God's hands. God, through us, conducts the necessary electricity to light up the whole world!!!!!!
